A permissionless app where any project can sign up and distribute points to any account on any chain. Here are the rules:

• Contract is Ownable

• Owner can hand out points via cumulative merkle drop, updated as they see fit

• Updates can be manual or automated based on onchain activity

• Points can't be taken away, only given

• Points can't be transferred

• Owner can burn all points and convert to token/NFTs in one-time event

Similar to Snapshot (see mockup), this would be a public good that any project could use…from a hackathon project to the biggest DAOs/protocols/companies. Points balances are easily queryable onchain so can be remixed into leaderboards, trackers, streaks, etc via Dune / Nansen / Flipside / etc.

The goal would be to enshrine the points meme via a verifiable onchain method and hold projects accountable to translate points into liquid assets once mature. Important to note that this design doesn’t eliminate nefarious actions by projects but does allow for a full cryptographic paper trail of events vs. a closed SQL database.
